Balance Centre Craniosacral Therapy, London, Ontario, Canada

by Brenda Rosenberg
(London, Ontario, Canada)

My name is Brenda Rosenberg and in my practice I offer Craniosacral Therapy to anyone in acute or chronic pain.

Pain Management With Craniosacral Therapy.
When you are in pain your focus turns to the painful area, checking it often, fidgeting with it to try to ease the discomfort. This is the first issue to deal with. Once this pain is eased your body will begin the process of regaining balance. Sometimes this is a very quick process if the problem is due to a recent physical injury. A couple of treatments may be all that is needed.

If the problem is chronic we need to find the original problem area which may now be masked by a few layers of restrictions. The sooner you begin the journey to creating balance in your body the sooner you will find relief from your pain.

Jane's Story.
Jane was under stress at work and zigged when she should have zagged when working in a hurry. The result was muscle spasm around the hip and thigh area. After a week of discomfort she arrived for a treatment session. The muscles of the area were in spasm.

When muscles are in spasm no amount of stretching will ease the problem. CST allowed the muscles to relax back into normal muscle tone. Pain relief was immediate and after a couple of days all was well again.

Dave's Story.
Dave was nursing a sore shoulder for a few months. Activities of a normal work day increased the pain so that by the end of the week he was very uncomfortable and cranky. The CST sessions produced a lot of heat in the sore area as the tension released from chronically tight muscles.

Once the pain reduced Dave was able to feel how he was using the shoulder muscles in an unbalanced manner. He was then able to begin moving and working in a relaxed fashion. Over time we worked with releasing the upper and lower back to balance all areas affecting the use of the shoulder.
