Healthy Pregnancy: Ensure a Natural and Comfortable Pregnancy with CranioSacral Therapy.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of my Complementary Therapy Practice is supporting other Women through a Healthy Pregnancy.
CranioSacral Therapy offers women a very gentle and effective way of complementing the natural work that their body is doing as well as complementing the work of Obstetricians, local Doctors and Midwives.
When we look at Pregnancy Week by Week, there are many natural conditions that come and go as you progress through your pregnancy. Conditions such as early nausea through to lower-back pain can all occur during a healthy pregnancy.
There are also some complications that can arise and I'll illustrate some of these (and how CranioSacral Therapy can help) in this section of the website.
I have trained in Pregnancy Massage and used this quite extensively over the past number of years. I have come to a number of interesting conclusions when
comparing my experiences with Pregnancy Massage and CranioSacral Therapy.
Another area that I find comes up frequently - especially later in the pregnancy is
discomfort in the legs or Sciatica.
I have found that the majority of clients experience relief from these symptoms for weeks at a time following a CraniaSacral Therapy treatment.
Probably one of the areas of most discomfort in Pregnancy is back pain - both of the middle and upper back - during the early stages of pregnancy, and lower back during the later stages. The discomfort of
back pain during pregnancy
can be effectively relieved by CranioSacral Therapy sessions - which are often combined with gentle yoga or water-based exercises.
One of the more frequent and naturally occuring conditions is
Acid Reflux During Pregnancy
. It is typically a symptom that kicks in during the second trimester and I find that it is one of the areas where my clients look for relief.
It is always lovely to see a Mum return to me with her new-born infant. I sometimes see infants as young as 1-2 weeks. It is a great time for an Infant CranioSacral treatment as many future complications can be minimised or avoided. Sometimes there have been minor birth complications - or a birth intervention such as Cesarean Section - and early treatments make all the difference in ensuring and enhancing the health of your infant.
