My name is Mary Joan Deutschbein and I work primarily from my private practice, Spirit Organic, in Rochester's neighborhood of the arts.


I hope to empower people to see the healing force within themselves, to recognize that while a "healer" may be a cheerleader, coach and source of sustenance, the healing actually occurs within the client using their tools and resources. CST is an amazing modality whether helping newborns to nurse, teenagers to conquer headaches or easing a lifetime of compensations in the elder population.


I am a NYS licensed massage therapist, Reiki master teacher and an Advanced CranioSacral Therapist with certification from the Upledger Institute. I also travel throughout the Northeast as a certified Upledger teaching assistant.


I have studied traditional healing, making herbalism, homeopathy, aromatherapy, and flower essences a part of my practice. My client population includes people of all ages from newborns to those who are actively dying.


I have been on staff at Strong Memorial Hospital since 2005 as a member of the Palliative Care team, bringing gentle massage and energy bodywork techniques to patients suffering from chronic illnesses, receiving cancer treatment or confronting end of life in hospice.
